Curious about the state of the fish population in Lake Spokane (Long Lake), the Spokane River reservoir? WDFW Warmwater Fish Program biologists are holding a special public meeting to present findings and discuss results from fish population surveys conducted over a 23-year period, from 2001 to 2024, in this popular fishing area for Eastern Washington. The results include large shifts in the fish community related to the proliferation of Smallmouth Bass and Walleye. Everyone is welcome and questions will be answered following the presentation.
