BC Salmon & Smallmouth Bass Bed Fishing

Off the west coast of Vancouver Island and the Esperanza Inlet, the salmon action is hot! Northwest Fishing joins Adrian O'Connor of Reel Obsession Sportfishing for three days of outstanding fishing, food, and adventure! This episode features some great saltwater trolling techniques with downriggers for salmon in various conditions. A lot of fun salmon fights on the BC standard "knuckle buster" reels, (also known as center pin reels), making for awesome footage. Then, Mike Carey heads to Lake Roosevelt, Washington near the Grand Coulee Dam to meet up with bass experts "Big Bass Dez" and Tom Melowitz in early May to catch spawning smallmouth bass. The crew searches flats for bass beds and cast drop shots - it's a fun catch-and-release technique that is super effective.
